Mental Health disorders continue to be prevalent in our country at alarming rates and can affect anyone regardless of age, race or sex. Current statistics indicate that in a given year 1 in 3 people will have an incident of a mental health disorder and over the span of a lifetime the incident increases to over 50% of the population suffering from some form of mental health issue. Fortunately, with treatment a majority of people can make significant improvement.
As a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner and Licensed Professional Counselor, I practice therapy that focuses on the emotional well being of individuals, couples and families. I work with my clients with an empathetic, nurturing and supportive approach, with acceptance and constructive feedback that taps into the potential of the client’s personal strengths and values. I have been working extensively with depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief and other mental health concerns with a therapeutic focus on empowerment, restructuring destructive thought and behavior patterns, acceptance and over all emotional wellness. I work with adolescents, adults, seniors and couples.
